Raised in Southern California, I began my real estate career working in a Beverly Hills real estate office in 1991 before listings were ever online! I learned the business from the inside, and in 2006 branched out into sales, earning Rookie of the Year with Coldwell Banker Studio City. Moving my family to North Carolina in 2010 meant a whole new adventure living on Lake Norman, not to mention building a new real estate business. I love all that Lake Norman has to offer, and I’m lucky to be in a business I enjoy.

Favorite View: I love the view from my kitchen because it faces Lake Norman and the sunrise over the lake is spectacular and different every morning. In the evenings, I can watch the Catawba Queen River Boat and Lady of Lake pass by.
Favorite Coffee Shop: We have our own espresso machine that makes a great cup of latte!
Favorite Restaurant: We love the Boathouse Grill because it’s on the water and it features great fish tacos.
Terrell Neighborhood Tour
Q & A WITH BARBARA
Relationship to Terrell: This is where I live, and I love its small town feel and all Lake Norman has to offer!
What do you like most about living in Terrell? It’s away from the busyness of Mooresville and has lower taxes than Iredell County. Every home is unique because there are no tract home developments in this mostly rural setting.
Tell Us About Terrell
Gardening, walking, jogging, boating, swimming, and watching movies are my favorite things to do. I walk, boat, and swim in my neighborhood, and my husband and I are big fans of Netflix! Ask me for recommendations! I also take exercise classes at the nearby Lowe’s YMCA, and there is a 24/7 Fitness Club here.
It’s an unincorporated community with one main intersection and one small post office. It lies in the lower east corner of Catawba County and on the north side of Lake Norman. Population is approximately 1000.
Restaurants and Shopping
A brand-new Publix is opening in October 2017 with additional retail shops on the horizon.
On the water restaurants include The Boathouse Grill, The Blue Parrot, and The Landing (known for its ribs). And Lineberger’s Steakhouse is excellent. Come early because there is usually a line outside.
