Favorite Local Grocery Store: Food Lion is just a few miles away if you need something quick.

Josh’s Farmers Market is a seasonal market with produce, fish, and homemade goods from local vendors. I also love Lowe’s Grocery because it has specialty items, a deli, a coffee and candy venue, and a wine and beer bar. Yes, you can do your shopping and then enjoy a local craft beer or meet some friends for a glass of wine.

Favorite Coffee Shop: Hebrews Coffee in Downtown Mooresville

Favorite Restaurant: Try Alino Pizzeria in Downtown Mooresville for authentic Italian pizza made in a wood-burning oven. Save a little room for the homemade gelato!

The Harbour at the Pointe Community Tour

Relationship to The Harbour: I live in The Harbour at the Pointe neighborhood and I bought here because it is a sister community to The Point. Harbour residents have the option to join a social membership at The Point, but it is not mandatory.

What do you like most about living in The Harbor? When I’m home, I feel like I’m on vacation. I love the open areas, green spaces, and trails with natural landscape that is always busy with walkers, joggers, and bikers. If you have a dog, you will get to know everyone in the neighborhood. And it’s very family friendly with a wonderful sense of community.

We have holiday and special events for young and old. A few clubs are Book Club, 50 +, Bunco, Teen Volunteer Club, etc. Halloween is amazing; neighbors put pop-up tents at the end of their driveways and give out candy and treats to all. We also have a morning yard sale twice a year followed by a community picnic on ‘The Green’ later that same day where we have a live band, food, and beer trucks.

Tell Us About The Harbour

Area Hobbies

I love to be outdoors, so The Harbour offers everything I want—trails, gardening, boating, and jet skiing with my family.

Established in 1995, the Harbour has 336 homes, some waterfront, some with deeded boat slips, ranging from the $400’s to $2.1 mil. Lawns are well manicured and there is an HOA.

  • Olympic-size pool where we host the local swim team and meets
  • Clubhouse
  • Athletic facilities: tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, basketball court, and soccer field
  • Playground
  • Boat ramp and boat storage

Restaurants and Shopping

Locals like to hang out at Shoals as well as Lake Norman Tavern, which is right down Brawley School Road and great for an occasional band on the weekend.

Visit Sweet Grass for unique and local gifts, and it even has a craft night every few months. For clothing, check out Mainstream Boutiques and Molly Malone’s. And ACE Hardware (locally owned by one of our Harbour residents) down the street has great gifts in addition to hardware and gardening supplies.

This area is also known for its amazing micro-breweries, so you may want to check out K-Craft, which is a wine and craft beer bar with local flare. It’s the perfect casual, comfortable place to relax, unwind, learn about wine and beer, and listen to good music now and then.

Things to Do

North Carolinas love to enjoy the outdoors and The Pointe’s residents are no exception. Bike riding and jogging lanes on Brawley School Road provide the perfect venue for exercise. In addition, there are many running and biking clubs in this area. It’s a great way to meet people who share your passion!
